- I will never try and make this into a full-time job. Or part-time. Or semi-part-time. This is a creative outlet for enjoyment alone, and it will therefore never receive the time or attention it would if I had any ambition at all.
- I'm not trying to increase my readership through giveaways, following thousands of other random blogs and commenting on everything, etc. If you are a blogger trying to make it big, I wish you all the best. Truly. But I need to be faithful to spend my time with my family and in ministry...meaning I probably won't follow you back. Sorry.
- I will post about whatever comes to mind. It might be cookies one day, cloth diapers the next, and a lesson I'm learning about Jesus another. So if you like what you read today, great! If you don't, that's fine too. I'll probably get back to your favorites eventually.
- On that note, I will probably post sporadically. As previously mentioned, I want to be a good steward of my time. And my life isn't exciting enough to give you something new and awesome every day anyway :)

Blogging Manifesto
With my recent return to the blogosphere (can I even call it recent? my last post was like 5 minutes ago...) I thought I'd share a few promises I am making to my readers. All ten of you. And anyone who may come across What Makes Home in the future. Call it my Blogging Manifesto. This is what you can expect should you decide to follow along:

this is great, Erin! blogging should totally be about what you want to write about, not trying to impress others. hard to remember though! i'm glad you're back :) and i hope you do a post about cloth diapers...i'm so intrigued by them haha
ReplyDeleteErin. You're hysterical. and so forthright. You crack me up. I will read your blogs because they're informative. entertaining. insightful. and because I like you. The end. Love you! p.s. I may be one of those 10 ;)
