I can't wait for fall

Last night, I received an email from Michaels with new coupons and deals in the stores... for Christmas crafts. Yeah. 25% off glittery ornament things, 30% off stocking stitching kits. I died a little. I mean really Michaels, don't you think we're jumping the gun just a little bit here?

But then the fact that it was only 65 degrees outside today, that pre-season Monday Night Football is back in swing, and that college students will be descending upon Blacksburg by the thousands this week made me realize... fall is just around the corner! And that, my friends, is an exciting thought. 

So no, I am still not okay with the pre-emptive crocheted Santa and Mrs. Claus, but this turn-of-the-season reality has me dreaming of autumn crafts, recipes, and cool weather accessories that just warm my heart. Here are some ideas that have me longing for fall...
